At Multi Media Solutions, we pride our selves on the high quality of printing that we offer. In line with our goal to be a versatile supplier we not only do litho printing (large volumes. low per unit cost) but also digital printing (low runs). Over the years we have built up a core of reliable litho printing suppliers that we use for manufacturing your work.

It is this relationship and understanding that we have with our suppliers that makes it possible for us to produce high quality jobs quickly and efficiently.

Our large range of products include:

  • Colour, Black and White copying and binding.
  • Poster printing up to A0.
  • Printing of stationery such as business cards, letterhead and compliment slips.
  • Design and printing pamphlets and brochures.
  • Designing and printing of magazines, annual reports and books.
  • Labels and packaging.

Litho printing uses a process whereby film (similar to that of a camera) is produced. This film is then used to make plates. These plates are used in the print process to transfer the images on to paper. Litho printing is has a very time consuming setup and make ready process. Once the setup has occured the machine can print at increddible speeds. This process is best suited for large print runs and offers high quality printing.

Advantages

  • Perfect for high volume printing.
  • The bigger the volume the lower the cost per unit.
  • Supports virtually any type of paper.
  • Standardised colour matching process means that corporate colours look the same every time.

The production process

it for making plates

The four/full colour press is used for high volume full colour printing and can print up to A2.

Finishing and hand work

The digital printing process works slightly different to the litho printing process in that there are no litho positive film or plates involved. Instead a high quality lazer print is produced. The ink used for this type of printing is wax based and gets fused to the paper giving it a shiny look and feel.

This process is perfect for producing small runs that the litho printer would not be willing to do.

Advantages

  • No difference in price for printing 2 or full colour jobs.
  • Perfect for posters, post cards and invites, where you need small quantities.
  • Very quick turn around time.
  • No difference in price for printing 1 kind or many different kinds of images.
